Pawsitively Cute! { Tulsa Pet Photography }

My session with Teddy was fast and furious!  This guy has tons of energy and great personality!  We started outdoors – hoping to “wear him out” a bit!  He played, chewed, and played some more, and was very focused when it came to doggie treats!  He seriously LOVES doggie treats!  He did very well for his studio shots – I think it’s safe to say it was his first time skateboarding – I’m not sure he is naturally built for this sport, being a bit on the stocky side, but he gave it a good effort!

What to Wear for Family Photos {Tulsa Family Photography}

Sometimes putting together a look for what to wear for your family photos starts with just a little inspiration!  I hope this gets your creative juices flowing without all the stress!  Start in a closet and pull out what you have, then fill in the pieces from the stores listed or look around a bit!

Coral and chambray are very popular right now, and they just happen to look great together! The wedge shoe continues to be a big hit, and easy white sandals round out the girls’ outfits.    You won’t have trouble finding this color palette if you need to deviate from these exact pieces.  Neutral bottoms for the boys lets the girls wear prints and a pop of color.  A summery white dress is always beautiful whether it is on mom, a teen, or a toddler!

These choices would look great for a summer session in the park, or other natural setting. Get out and get those family photos taken while the weather is great – and as a bonus you can use these pics for Christmas cards when the busy holiday season rolls around!

Connor | Owasso High School Class of 2013 {Owasso Senior Photographer}

Take a nice urban setting – in this case, downtown Tulsa – and add a soon-to-be-grad, a friend, and a handful of parents!  These are the ingredients for a great photo shoot!  Connor is an athlete and student at Owasso High School.  I have known Connor and his family for many years – so long that I remember him being much much younger (and much shorter!). I know I have some earlier great pics of Connor, but today I will just be posting the recent ones!  :-) He and a friend arranged to have their shoots together – they were both great sports for an extended session!  Connor will be attending the University of Arkansas in the fall – he has a bright future ahead of him!  Much luck to you Connor, and don’t forget to come back and visit Owasso!!

Emma’s Sweet 16 / Winter Formal {Owasso Family Photography}

I know when you saw this post you were thinking that it was a high school senior session, but then you glanced up at the title (you do read my titles, right?!!)  This is Emma, and to celebrate her Sweet 16 she had a session – and it just so happened that her birthday coincided with her Winter Formal!  Too much fun!  Ok, just for the record, I did not look  this old at 16 – I did not even really look 16 yet!

The weather outside was frightful – I mean cold, much like it is today, so the option of indoor photos was a great choice!  Love the colors, love the dress, and Emma rocked it out in some killer heels!  Kudos to her boyfriend Logan, who waited patiently for her and jumped in when we asked!!

What to Wear for Family Photos {Tulsa Family Photography}

Here is my final What to Wear post for 2012 – with an extra post  just for the ladies this month!   Start with a classic winter white for both ladies’ outfits – not only does this  look great on everyone, it also makes it so easy to coordinate everyone else!  If you’re not a fan of peplum tops (first look) then browse the site for several other options that would work, still in winter white.  Then pair with a beautiful coat – (they also have a lovely pink tweed) or round out the outfit with a long sweater!

For the family – another lovely outfit for mom (do you see a pattern here??!) and a cozy sweater for  daughter & dad with a dark jean for both.  All that is needed here is a boot or shoe (no tennis shoes allowed!) .  Brother carries on the color scheme from his sister with a white tee underneath then adds a dark brown cord or cargo pant!  Done!

For those that didn’t get those Christmas pics done in time, schedule your session over the winter break (and still get your family portrait!) and jump on the newest trend – New Years cards!

To my clients, family and friends – have a blessed holiday and a happy New Year!!
